That Hurley is bananas/b-a-n-a-n-a-s

Here are a couple Lost spoilers courtesy of the latest Entertainment Weekly, with Gwen Stefani on the cover. I put 'em in the comment section out of consideration for those who don't like spoilers.

The Feb. 7 ep. is all about Juliet. According to producer Lindelof, "her agenda is more in line with the castaways than we originally suspected, but that does not mean she is not sinister." Dun dah dun.

The Others do in fact have a submarine.

The name Jacob, whom Jack is not on the list of, is a clue. The name was deliberately chosen.

Jacob? Oh my God I figured it out. The Wallflowers are playing and "the list" is those lucky enough to have backstage passes!

In the Old Testament, Jacob was the scholarly brother of Esau, whom he had a long running feud and is important in the Jewish tradition.
But I like the Wallflowers explainer better.
Or, even better than that, "Jacob" is Jake from "Jake and the Fat Man." Suddenly, it makes perfect sense. Next, Jessica Fletcher and Matlock will turn out to be on the Hanso board of trustees.

Yes, yes, yes, Jacob wrestled the angel, and the angel was overcome.
Next, i'll expect Jack to turn to Benry and say "Well the God I believe in isn't short of cash, Mister."
